In any event, foreign artists' wages must be at least equal to the minima laid down by the applicable collective agreements given the employer's line of business.
We should point out that extended collective agreements are necessarily applicable, even when the employer is not a member of any union.
For instance, for entertainment producers, in principle the artistic and cultural companies collective agreement applies if the organization benefits from grants, whereas the entertainment promoters collective agreement known as "tours" applies when the company does not benefit from any grants (for further details on collective agreements.
When the employer is based in France, the artist benefits from all the provisions of the collective agreement.
When the employer is based abroad, the employees he seconds must benefit from the collective agreement on minimum wages, working hours and conditions.
