Claiming paid leave entitlements for entertainment employees from the entertainment paid leave fund
Monday, 20 June 2005
“How can we claim the paid leave entitlements for entertainment employees for the foreign artists and technicians we employ (we employ Romanian and Hungarian artists and technicians and pay our vacation pay (performing arts) contributions)?”
You should inform your foreign artists that, in order to benefit from their paid leave entitlements, they should send in an application for paid leave to the paid leave fund for entertainment employees in April (form provided by the said organization) along with the certificates you issue.
In principle it is up to the artists and technicians themselves to apply, in the same way as artists or technicians residing in France.
However, certain entities established in France do this on behalf of the foreign artists and technicians they hire.
In which case, the said artists (or technicians) must have signed a power of attorney empowering the French entity to apply for and collect their paid leave entitlements on their behalf.
