“For work permit applications, can one assume that Direccte* approval is granted after a certain lapse of time, even in the absence of an answer, with a view to obtaining visas?”
No, you cannot assume that acceptance has been granted in the absence of a response from Direccte.
On the contrary, the application for a temporary work permit is deemed to have been refused if the administration does not respond within 4 months (decree 2001-532 dated 20 June 2001).
